The Manatee County 4-H Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and direct support organization of the Manatee County 4-H Youth Development Program, a part of UF/IFAS Extension. Our mission is to passionately support Manatee County 4-H through advocacy, collaboration, and funding.
4-H is the nation’s largest youth development organization. 4-H is a fun, educational program for young people ages 5-18. 4-H provides educational experiences through a "learn by doing" approach and helps young people acquire knowledge, develop life skills, and form attitudes to enable them to become self-directed, productive, and contributing members of society.
Manatee County 4-H consists of a variety of programs that teach youth life skills to help them grow to be successful adults. The 4 “H”’s are Head, Heart, Hands and Health. Our motto is “To make the best better”. With your support we can make Manatee County better, by investing in our youth today, we create model citizens and future leaders.
As per our 4H pledge: I pledge my HEAD to clearer thinking. My HEART to greater loyalty. My HANDS to larger service, and my HEALTH to better living, for my club, my community, my country, and my world. We hope you use your head, have it in your heart, hold a fishing pole in your hand, as you support this tournament for the health of better living for our Manatee County youth!
